Odoo Online

Odoo Online is an open source suite of business applications that includes all the expected features of an ERP system, including finance, billing, costing as well as a suite of features for manufacturing process handling, the software is suitable for companies of all sizes.

Odoo Online is a good fit for organizations that want a single, customizable ERP solution. The company offers an application for most business requirements; from sales to accounting, inventory management to e-commerce. As a modular system, organizations can add further functionality as and when they require it.  Moreover, due to the open source model of Odoo, the suite is continually expanding and becoming increasingly feature-rich.

An example of an Odoo Online manufacturing feature is the inventory management module. The application incorporates barcode scanning, powerful schedulers, and highly customizable reporting tools. The accounting dashboard is a useful tool for the administration element of a business. This app allows users to quickly analyze cash flows, invoices, and billing from a single, configurable screen.

Odoo is available as a cloud solution, a free plan offers restricted use to just one app. Whilst Odoo Online is priced per user, per month and is dependent on the number of apps installed. Odoo Online offers some mobile support in that it offers a native Android application.

All Odoo plans include unlimited support, hosting, and maintenance.

2024 updates

• January's Odoo 17.1 release introduced notable enhancements in accounting like abnormal invoice alerts and improved duplicate bill detection. Localizations now cover China and Spain, plus usability boosts in planning, project management, and sales. Also, upgrades in employee management for multi-company setups, new manufacturing and inventory options, and better website building and point-of-sale systems.
• April's Odoo 17.2 update brought general enhancements: improved mobile search and readable URLs. Accounting now offers better invoice analysis and duplicate detection. Localizations expanded, with updates for countries like Australia, Canada, and Mexico. Enhancements in appointments, approvals, and barcodes improve usability. Email marketing, events, and expenses modules offer more tracking and integration features. New functionalities added to fleet management, inventory, and payroll; project, purchase, recruitment, and social marketing modules see usability enhancements.
